An Evening of Reflections

For one evening, a centuries-old Moroccan courtyard became a stage for slow light and slower ceremony. We laid mirrored plinths across the green zellige pool, crowned each one with a crystal candelabra, and let the candlelight double itself in the water. Around it, burgundy velvet tables carried coral peonies, brass urns and rose-gold candelabras dressed in white ostrich feathers — a dialogue between the palace's carved arches and the guests seated beneath them.
